A custom mIRC zip file has been put together to help everyone connect to the chat room. Download this file and unzip to your Program Files folder. Double click on mIRC and it will do the rest. To make connecting to the chat easier, drag the mIRC icon to your desktop, or drag it to your Start Up folder. To do so, drag the icon to your Start button, then navigate to Programs(Programs), and then to Start Up.

We are slowly migrating all admin names to SteamIDs. This will eliminate the need for admin passwords.
To have your admin name changed to your SteamID, send an email to steam@adminnow.org.
Be sure to include your current admin name, your admin passwords, and the email address associated with your PayPal account.
To find your SteamID, join a server and type status into the console. Find your player name, and your Steam
ID will follow. SteamID's should be in the following form: STEAM_#:#:######

Server 6 IP change
I'm sure most of you have noticed that cs6.adminnow.org has had slightly higher pings than normal. This is because the provider that owned the ip block that hosted the server is no longer connected to the Level3 backbone. However, the new ip is, and pings should be back to normal. The new server ip is 66.54.88.206:27015. If you connect to AdminNow servers through the Steam favorites menu using cs6.adminnow.org, you will need to delete the server from your favorites and add it again.

AdminNow Counter-Strike Tournament
Soggy has been generous enough to take the time to set-up this deal for us. He's placed a date, and a new page on the web-site for sign ups. I will find out what server you can expect to see this all happening on, and remember the servers are only 15 players so the first to arrive and sign up are the only to be playing. There is a possibility that we will hold more than one match. Hopefully we will get a good turn out. Admins start getting the message out there and lets see if we can get more people filling up these servers. sure you may think that they do fine but theres always 2 servers with plenty of room... I'll get back with more details such as war3?, ect....[entire thread]

cs1.adminnow.org and cs4.adminnow.org will be down for a bit tomorrow while they are moved from Boston to New York. Server 1 has been quite laggy lately, and we are hoping this will help decrease the pings. If you use domain names(cs1.adminnow.org) instead of ip addresses, you will have to delete and readd the servers to your favorites. Otherwise they won't respond.
New server ips:
Server 1: 69.28.240.25

Female hostages have returned to cs5.adminnow.org and cs6.adminnow.org!
Everyone should be happy to know that Server 5 is reaching it's pre-Steam state. With the introduction of Steam and 1.6, the old mods to allow female hostages, gravity spots, and multiple weapons became worthless. These mods have been rewritten and are now Steam compliant. However, the mod that allowed multiple weapons is still a bit buggy. It will be loaded when it is complete.

Two new LA servers have been added to our arsenal: cs8.adminnow.org and cs9.adminnow.org.
We will soon be replacing our Team Fortress server with Natural Selection. At that time, we will post links to all the files needed to play NS. For you Steam haters, you will be happy to know that Natural Selection does not require Steam!

The Admin Setup page has been updated. It now includes detailed instructions on accessing the reserved spot.

Weapon restrictions are now available on all servers.
New Commands:
admin_enableallweapons: Allows anyone to buy any weapon.
admin_enableequipment: Allows anyone to buy any equipment.
admin_enableitem (item-id): Allows anyone to buy the specified item.
admin_enablemenu (menu): Allows anyone to buy anything on the specified menu.
admin_restrictallweapons: Forbids anyone from buying any weapon.
admin_restrictequipment: Forbids anyone from buying any equipment.
admin_restrictitem (item-id): Forbids anyone from buying the specified item.
admin_restrictmenu (menu): Forbids anyone from buying anything on the specified menu.
admin_showitems: Displays item-ids for use with restrict commands.
To disable the Tactical Shield, use command admin_restrictitem 31.

All AdminNow servers have been updated to 1.6 except cs69.adminnow.org. If you are still playing CS 1.5 you should download the patch for 1.6.

To meet the overwhelming demand for Steam help, we have added a separate forum. If you are having a problem, it is very likely that someone else has had or is having the same problem. We want to make the Steam transition as easy as possible. I know most of you despise Steam, but if you want to play Counter-Strike, you'd better get it working.

cs6.adminnow.org has been updated to 1.6. If you haven't downloaded steam yet, we are hosting the full 1.6 Counter Strike version. You can download it by clicking here.
The rest of the servers will be updated in due time. If anyone needs help with Steam, feel free to stop by the chat room.

AdminNow has acquired the domain name adminnow.org. With this new domain name you will no longer
need to remember the ip of your favorite server, although the ips will still work. All you need is the server number and the game type.
The new server domains are as follows.
cs1.adminnow.org
cs2.adminnow.org
dod3.adminnow.org
cs4.adminnow.org
cs5.adminnow.org
cs6.adminnow.org
To use this in console simply type connect cs1.adminnow.org to connect to server 1.

AdminNow has started an IRC channel on gamesnet, #AdminNow. It's new, so we need idlers.

Since the last post, the number of people without power dropped from 133,000 to 110,000. Lucky for us, I was one of those 23,000. Everything is working again. Time to restock the fridge.

The forums are down again. We had some severe weather Tuesday July, 22 that left 306,000 people without power. We had 100mph "straight" winds that caused millions of dollars in damage around the area. The power should be back on within a few days, and everything will be back up. In the meantime you can see the progress of our power company(if you really care) by clicking here.

Stats, forums, and some other site features will be down for a bit due to a hardware malfunction. The server started shutting off randomly, and now it won't boot at all. I'm hoping it is the power supply. If so, everything should be back to normal within a few days.

New maps have been added to the downloads section.
New maps for CS include de_speedball, and es_jail, plus more.
For TFC, some of the new maps include Mooncheese, and Teamfootball.

We have been getting many recent complaints on admins. So, for those of you
that don't know, this is what you will need to report an admin.
1. time of day including time zone
2. server number
3. admin's name to report
You can email this information to admin@AdminNow.org. Screenshots
and demos are not necessary, but they help. You can take a screenshot by
pressing F5 in game.

admin_flames : used to toggle flame throwers on and off (Servers 1 and 3)

The TFC server is finally up. Join the server and test out new admin commands that are still
in the beta phase. You will see new commands here before they make it to the other servers.

AMX Mod has been added to all servers. Most of our support inquiries
are requests for help with admin setup, so rather than give admins access to AMX
commands, we will be creating custom AdminMod commands to control AMX. Granting
AMX rights to admins would lock out admins that haven't set their clients for AMX.
Some of you had enough trouble with the AdminMod setup, so I don't think we want
the headache of setting up anything else.
